Driven by a desire to explore and challenge sensory perceptions, Melbourne based artist Kit Webster has attracted worldwide attention for his cutting-edge installations. Ranging from site- specific projections to digital sculptures, his works utilise precision programming and visualisation techniques to create captivating immersive environments.
After graduating in 2008 with a Fine Arts degree from RMIT University, Kit’s career began with the development of the synchronised sound and light installation ‘Enigmatica’. Video documentation of this work saw widespread global dissemination and consequently led to trips to exhibit in Brazil, Switzerland, Croatia, France and New Zealand.
Other notable achievements include works for New York Fashion Week, Melbourne Music Week, Dark Mofo, Stereosonic, Vivid Festival and White Night, . As well as his installations and digital sculptures, Kit works on commissioned architectural light sculptures, theatre productions and live visual art for music events. His current focus is on the creation of non-linear LED, projection mapping and screen concepts with particular interested in the fusion of digital and physical elements.
